BayPackets Runs With Intel

FREMONT, Calif. -- BayPackets, Inc., a leader in providing IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) compliant multi-network voice and data solutions for wireless, wireline and cable operators, today announced its Agility SIP Application Server is fully integrated with an ATCA Telco Server Proof of Concept based on Intel(R) Architecture and running in Intel(R) Modular Communications Platforms (MCP) Solution Labs. The solution labs, currently in China, New Jersey and Belgium, are demonstration facilities used to show service providers real applications running on integrated IMS network elements based on Intel(R) standards-based building blocks.

These solutions comply with AdvancedTCA, a standards-based modular architecture that allows the integration of vendor platform and component solutions across a choice of standard backplanes. As a result, carriers are able to add new services as modular building blocks, creating IMS service flexibility for faster and more cost-effective service deployment.

"Carriers are looking for service agility in IMS deployments," said Sanjeev Chawla, EVP of Engineering and CTO at BayPackets. "They want to deploy a standards-based services-driven network to deliver value-added services at a low cost. By integrating BayPackets' service layer with applications from the Intel ecosystem, carriers get integrated, validated platform solutions that will help them get to market quickly with tested services."
