Rangaswami Goes Cloudy

Ray Le Maistre

12:50 PM -- Former BT Group plc (NYSE: BT; London: BTA) 'Chief Scientist' JP Rangaswami, who only recently left the British carrier, has joined cloud services specialist Salesforce.com Inc. , having been appointed to -- you guessed it -- "the newly created position of Chief Scientist." (See Salesforce.com Hires Ex-BT Guru and BT's 'Chief Scientist' Quits.)

The enterprise cloud computing specialist notes in its announcement that Rangaswami is Salesforce.com's "first Chief Scientist."

EuroBlog can't help thinking there's a good reason for that.
