re: Huawei's New Strategy Challenge

At one level, this is just another big company trying to add cloud to their story. Without the details, indeed that is all we have right now. I'm intrigued: "What kind of cloud from Huawei can/will SPs provide?" Is Huawei trying to compete with Amazon and Google? Or is the target market Small & Medium businesses with cloud-based turn-key solutions, vs raw Lintel compute power?

Security of the content remains one of the key concerns in cloud services.  When it comes to companies like Huawei getting into providing cloud services, clients will have to take serious look at the secuirty related issues.  Very recently, the company was banned from doing business in India due this issue.  The company has been allowed now to continue to do business and has been asked to implement certain features to address security related issues.

Of course, it is too prematured to comment on what Huawei would do in cloud and who they will target as customer base.  More details are required for anyone to comment on it.
