Amdocs is targeting new business in India as part of its growth strategy in the coming year, the CEO has told Light Reading in an exclusive video interview.
Speaking with Light Reading veteran Dan Jones in New York City, CEO Eli Gelman talked about how Amdocs has established itself in Latin America and South-East Asia, as well as North America and Europe, but is now seeking to build up its business in India.
Gelman says he expects India, where Amdocs does not have many operator customers currently, to be "bigger for us in 2015… we may have new names."
Check out what the CEO has to say about emerging market opportunities from about 4 minutes into the interview.
He also talked about further M&A opportunities (about 8 minutes into the video), about NFV and the advantages Amdocs has over traditional hardware vendors when it comes to selling software to telcos (about 11:30 into the interview), and about Big Data analytics use cases (about 15 minutes in).
