Amdocs Lauds Vodafone

ST. LOUIS -- Amdocs (NYSE: DOX - News), the leading provider of software and services to enable integrated customer management (ICM) and the intentional customer experience(TM), today made the following statement:

"Amdocs is very pleased with Vodafone's decision to move forward with IBM and EDS as the two prime systems integrators to manage its application development and maintenance (ADM) services in a global IT outsourcing deal," said Michael Matthews, chief marketing officer of Amdocs. "This represents a continued trend by service providers to seek operating improvements by involving specialists in key parts of their business. This results in increased "external IT spend" and is therefore a potential opportunity for Amdocs, given our unmatched expertise in ICM-enabling systems which help service providers create a superior customer experience."

Matthews continued, "We have strong relationships with both IBM and EDS and will work on Vodafone's ADM project with both companies once their contracts with Vodafone are finalized. Amdocs has maintained a successful long-term relationship with Vodafone, including a Global Framework agreement between our two companies and projects at a number of its operating companies, including Vodafone Netherlands, Vodafone UK and Vodafone Hungary. We look forward to continuing to work with Vodafone and we are optimistic that today's announcement will lead to operating benefits for Vodafone and possible additional business for Amdocs."
