Sounds for Stoners

1:30 PM -- 7Online.com reports on something really, really important...

There's a CD out on the market that apparently gives the listener the feeling of getting high -- high like on drugs.

High... like on drugs?! Guess we won't be popping this in the caravan CD player on our way to grandma's!

It sounds like a mish-mosh of bizarre sounds with a beat behind it. It's catching on with suburban high school kids. In Wanaque, New Jersey, they swear it works.

"You listen to it and you just kinda zone out, feel weird and kinda gives you the effect I guess," one student said.

Well said, "student."

"It gave me the side effects that it said it would," another student said.

And I'm sure that had nothing to do with the giant plate of funny mushrooms he ate right before...

Could it be the new gateway drug? A legal CD available to anyone with access to the Internet? Whatever the case, it's an alert for all parents.

The "new gateway drug"? I doubt it. But, just in case, let's blame the Internet.

re: Sounds for Stoners Hey Panda, you were just a little cub back then so you might not remember this but they had something similar in the 80's called "Crack on a Casette." Just two minutes of easy listening and you'd be as high as a hawk - but still broke.

re: Sounds for Stoners Don't forget, Raymond, we also currently have "LSD DVDs" -- which are better known by the kids as "Baby Einstein." Those are a trip-and-a-half.

re: Sounds for Stoners And since the company was acquired, Baby Einstein is now a gateway drug to Disney.
