This seems another useful way to combine solar power and WiFi to help in refugee camps in Uganda. Inveneo Inc., a non-profit social enterprise, has partnered with the BOSCO (Battery Operated Systems for Community Outreach) Uganda Relief Project to provide access to low-powered Linux computers, powered by the sun, to provide Internet and VOIP in these camps.
It doesn't sound dissimilar to what Bill Clinton was talking about recently at the CTIA show. (See CTIA's Ex-Presidents Society .)
