Smash-Me Bernie
3:45 PM -- At this year's American International Toy Fair, happening now in New York, one company has introduced "Smash-Me Bernie," a "Madoff lookalike doll that wears a devil-red suit and carries a pitchfork," the Associated Press reports. Conveniently, the doll comes with a hammer so you can take out all of your economic rage on the hunk of plastic.
Oddly, just like the real Bernie, the toy is a huge ripoff: It costs $99.95.
Which leads me to suspect that ModelWorks, the company behind the figurine, perhaps hasn't done much research on its target audience.
