- SlingMedia yesterday introduced its SlingCatcher set-top box, which allows users to connect to on-demand video content hosted on network TV sites. SlingCatcher joins other devices, like the Xbox 360, that are being created to connect TV and Internet. Its upcoming Sling.com video site could give it an advantage over those other devices, however.
- CBS has added full-length episodes of classics like MacGyver and The Young and the Restless to its YouTube content. With this deal, YouTube could be positioning itself to compete with sites like Hulu.
