SingTel and Cybernet have entered into a supply-agreement to provide IP-VPN coverage in Karachi, Pakistan

SINGAPORE -- Singapore Telecommunications Limited (SingTel), Asia's leading communications group, and Cybernet, Pakistan's largest Internet and data network operator, today announced that they have entered into a supply-agreement to provide Internet Protocol-Virtual Private Network (IP-VPN) coverage in Karachi, Pakistan.

SingTel ConnectPlus IP-VPN service is being offered in Pakistan for the very first time. This is in response to growing demand from the enterprise market for IP-VPN service, which provides companies with a scalable and highly reliable integrated communications solution over a single, privately managed network.

Mr Wong Soon Nam, SingTel's Vice President of Business Marketing, said: "In South Asia, Pakistan is fast becoming a popular destination among the corporate world for back-end process operations.
