SINGAPORE -- Singapore Telecommunications Ltd (SingTel), a leading global operator and major broadband provider, has awarded Sheer Networks a multi-million US$ contract to provide the Sheer MetroCentral™ Broadband Operating System as the core of SingTel’s next-generation Operations Support System (OSS) Broadband Network Management System (BNMS). Sheer Networks will provide SingTel with end-to-end Fault Management, Provisioning and Performance applications through its Sheer MetroCentral™ Assurance and Sheer MetroCentral™ Fulfillment solutions.The Sheer MetroCentral™ Broadband Operating System offers a “technology independent” network operations environment which will accelerate the introduction of new SingTel services on its DSL-based broadband network.
