DENVER -- Comcast Wholesale, a leading provider of IP voice and data, broadcast and digital content distribution, recently added international IP voice termination to its portfolio of services for multichannel video programming distributors (MVPDs), ILECs, CLECs and over-the-top (OTT) voice carriers. The new service gives operators the ability to take advantage of Comcast’s extensive network and scale to lower the costs of international calls and expand their footprint globally.

This service is the latest in Comcast Wholesale’s expanding solution set for MVPDs and voice providers. Comcast Wholesale began serving the industry with wholesale voice termination in 2012 and has since grown to more than 2.5 billion minutes of voice traffic per month for CLECs, ILECs, VoIP providers, international carriers and several of the largest MVPDs in North America.

Comcast Wholesale’s IP voice termination service uses the same network and is supported by the same resources that handle Comcast Cable’s own voice traffic. It is an ideal solution for carriers that originate their own traffic, such as MVPDs, many of which have already signed on to the new international service.

Comcast Wholesale will be available for meetings and to answer questions about international IP voice termination at PTC 2016.
