4D Virtual Reality

Samsung wins the virtual reality prize for a "4D" Gear VR demo that included not only VR headsets, but a rollercoaster ride on the wheel of death. Nobody threw up afterward so they must have had any VR latency issues nailed.

Times a changin? @Mari Were you able to try the Qualcomm/ODG VR headset? What was the most notable difference between this year's CES and last year's?

Re: Times a changin? I did get to try it. It was a canned racing game demo, and the content wasn't great, but the weight of the glasses and the ability of the hardware to make the real and virtual world come together was amazing. Incredible paltform to build on.

Lots of smart home at CES this year. And lots of 5G.
