Sandvine provides fourth quarter revenue estimate
December 6, 2011
WATERLOO, Canada -- Sandvine, (TSX:SVC; AIM:SAND) a leading provider of intelligent broadband network solutions, today announced a preliminary revenue estimate for the fourth quarter of 2011 ended on November 30, 2011. The Company expects fourth quarter revenue to be in the range of $19.5 million to $20 million. Based on this, the Company estimates that its fiscal 2011 revenue will be in the range of $88.2 million to $88.7 million. The Company expects to release its full financial results on January 12, 2012.
“Our revenue in the fourth quarter, and for the year, was lower than expected. Several of our largest customers did not generate the level of business we had anticipated for a variety of reasons, including budget reductions during the course of the year, shifting capital priorities and slower roll-outs,” said Dave Caputo, Sandvine’s President and CEO. “We have built a solid base of business with the largest and most diversified customer base in our space, and our focus in 2012 will be to generate growth in our business from that installed base and from winning new customers. We are encouraged by the level of our engagement at a number of larger new opportunities and are optimistic that some of those opportunities will begin to translate to orders in fiscal 2012.”
