Orbitel Uses MVNE Platform

SCHIPHOL, The Netherlands -- Elephant Talk Communications, Inc. (OTC.BB:ETAK - News) (www.elephanttalk.com), an international provider of business software and services to the telecommunications and financial services industries, announced today that Orbitel, the first Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) hosted by Vizzavi España SL, a Vodafone Group Company, has significantly increased its customer database in Spain during the last few weeks using Elephant Talk's Mobile Virtual Network Enabling (MVNE) Platform, which supports Orbitel across the board with a full pallet of functionality services for loyal customers including lower rates for international calls.

Orbitel, a subsidiary of Colombian Operator UNE and a member of the State-owned Group 'Empresas Publicas de Medellin' (EPM), was originally created to service the Spanish market focusing on Latin Americans residing in Spain. Orbitel's agreement with Vizzavi España enables it as a MVNO to operate voice and data services over the Vodafone network in Spain. Elephant Talk has a hosting agreement with Vizzavi España to use its state-of-art MVNE Platform technology.

Orbitel's initial distribution started with specialized ethnic distribution channels and with leading retailers such as 'El Corte Ingles,' the biggest department store in Spain. Orbitel is successfully increasing its number of distribution channels.
