NetHawk first to offer inbuilt channelised STM-1 / OC-3 support for network monitoring

OULU, Finland -- NetHawk is the first in the market to provide inbuilt channelised STM-1 / OC-3 support forUTRAN, GERAN and Core network monitoring and protocol testing. This solution isavailable in the NetHawk M5 Multi-Analyser with UTRAN, GERAN or Core decodingpackage and it is integrated in the NetHawk D6 or NetHawk N6 Adapters to offer verycompact testing tools without bulky external converter systems.
Channelised STM-1 / OC-3 is supported in E1 and T1 environments and in ATM and PCMmodes. All configurations are done easily via the NetHawk M5 graphical user interface. TheState Monitor shows clearly with colour coding the status of physical ports and logical lines andthe connections can be scanned automatically.
The NetHawk D6 Adapter is installed in a desktop or industrial PC to provide capacity andperformance – supporting two full-duplex channelised STM-1 / OC-3 links. Up to four D6Adapters can be installed in one unit resulting in a powerful configuration of eight channelisedSTM-1 / OC-3 links. Ultimate portability for field usage can be achieved with a laptop PC andthe NetHawk N6 Adapter, supporting two full-duplex channelised STM-1 / OC-3 links. Upcomingfeatures, such as channelised STM-4 / OC-12 and IMA over channelised STM -1 / OC-3 will beavailable just with a SW update.
