Canadian telco chooses IPTV middleware from Innovative Systems
March 1, 2012
WESTPORT, ON -- WTC, with a little help from its neighbors to the south, has chosen the APMAXMiddleware Solution from Innovative Systems as they transition their cable video plant over to IPTV.According to Tom Lynn, WTC’s Vice President, “With the many options and impact that middleware hason the customer experience, we wanted to check out references from existing providers. What wefound was a number of references stating the simplicity of the Innovative product from a managementstandpoint and an aggressive roadmap for future functionality.” Lynn added, “The deal breaker for uswas the fact that these U.S references had previously used middleware from other vendors and werequite satisfied with their decision to switch to APMAX Middleware.”WTC Video Manager, Kevin Christy was also pleased with the onsite training that Innovative was ableto provide. According to Christy, “Canada isn’t the easiest place to get to in January, but the Innovativestaff provided training for us at two different locations which were extremely beneficial.”
