CALABASAS, Calif. -- Ixia (NASDAQ: XXIA), a leading, global provider of IP network testing solutions, today announced that Easynet, an international managed network and hosting company, has deployed Ixia solutions as part of its commitment to service excellence. Working with Ixia solutions, Easynet standardizes its global service offerings, enhances network performance, introduces new services to market more quickly and ensures QoS for its business customers.

Easynet uses Ixia's IxNetwork to do performance testing throughout its global operations. Easynet's customers run business-critical applications across its IP network. The scalable performance of carrier equipment is crucial to a network's ability to reliably deliver next-generation network services over IP with QoS. Only Ixia, with the industry's highest Layer 2-3 and 4-7 traffic-generation capability and multiprotocol scalability, can test the performance of a device's ability to deliver a mix of IP-based services and thus play a crucial role in Easynet's commitment to deliver excellent service to its customers. Extreme scalability testing refers to stressing routers with millions of routes using multiple protocols. In addition, Easynet has used the Ixia solutions to standardize its network access portfolio and help ensure that the upgrade of its core Ethernet network to 10 gigabits goes smoothly to provide its enterprise customers an enhanced service experience.

"Buying Ixia has helped us deliver superbly managed solutions. With Ixia, we can test network hardware before deploying it, which helps us make the best decisions about which hardware to buy," said Djerk Geurts, Easynet Research and Development network engineer. "It has improved service designs and allowed us to unify our network access service across Europe."
