PARIS -- France Telecom signed a partnership agreement with Warner Music, effective immediately. Under the agreement, France Telecom will distribute Warner Music's catalogue through its offers in France (including Orange, Wanadoo and the fixed line network), Belgium, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

This agreement with one of the world's leading music majors demonstrates France Telecom's integrated operator strategy to publish and distribute secure content services. It underlines the Group's will to develop partnerships with music groups, for the benefit of its clients.

Responding to new trends in digital music consumption, France Telecom also entered a non-exclusive partnership with Warner Music to investigate jointly the development of new music products and services for mobile, Internet, and fixed line. The two partners will also work on content protection solutions, with support from Viaccess, a France Telecom subsidiary specialised in secure content distribution, and from France Telecom R&D.
