PARIS -- Dassault Aviation has chosen Orange Business Services to integrate an entirely secure voice over IP (VoIP) solution for its 11 sites in France. According to this contract, Orange Business Services ensures the migration to VoIP for five sites, or 1,500 workstations. As a result, all Dassault Aviation employees will have access to VoIP services.

For Dassault Aviation, the move to IP satisfies a dual objective:

  • creating a sustainable and efficient technological foundation for the development of new communication services with high added value and

  • optimizing communications costs by benefiting from the advantages of migrating communications to the IP network. Orange Business Services is providing support for Dassault Aviation at every step of the migration: from the global technical architecture of the solution, to managing change (consulting, training), deployment and maintenance of equipment and security issues (encrypting, traceability, etc).

Thanks to Orange Business Services’ turnkey solutions, Dassault Aviation will be able to:

  • improve employee comfort and performance. Thanks to VoIP services (unified messaging, a shared directory that is also included in the telephone, etc.), employees can be reached more easily and therefore respond more efficiently. The roll out of VoIP has also enabled the company to install Wifi hot spots, thus providing employees with seamless mobility from one site to another, no matter what the location. Dassault Aviation can also define different employee profiles according to their mobility and provide them with workstations and ad hoc communications services.

  • equip the cutting edge customer service department for Falcon business craft with the latest technology. Moving to VoIP is an opportunity for Dassault Aviation to introduce new technology in its ultramodern technical support centre devoted to operators of its famous Falcon business craft. Orange Business Services rolled out and integrated the VoIP solution, as well as a new call management system, within the Falcon support center. Dassault Aviation technicians can now take advantage of new convergent services such as display of the caller’s name on their screens but also the customer’s complete file at the time of the call. This improves both response times and quality of service.

“The solution provided by Orange Business Services responds to all our needs,” said Pascal Michalczyk, director of IT Infrastructures for Dassault Aviation’s IS Department. “We now have a completely updated set of branch exchanges with access to new functionalities, a user satisfaction rate of 100 percent and a return on investment that we can already measure since we have reduced our communications costs by 25 percent. This IP solution is important for us today and will be even more so tomorrow since it is really helping us prepare for the future.”
