Jean-Yves Charlier made senior executive vice president in charge of telecom activities at Vivendi

PARIS -- Jean-Yves Charlier, member of the Supervisory Board and until now Chairman of its Strategic Committee, is to leave the Supervisory Board and join Vivendi in October as Senior Executive Vice President in charge of Telecoms Activities. Jean-Yves Charlier will also participate in the group’s strategic review. He will report to the Chairman of the Management Board. Jean-Yves Charlier is currently Chief Executive Officer of Promethean, a leading worldwide interactive learning company, and has a vast experience in Telecoms.Vivendi’s Supervisory Board has entrusted Bertrand Meheut, Chairman of the Management Board of Canal+ Group and Canal+ France, with a strategic study regarding the development of media and content, a field in which Vivendi is today one of the worldwide leaders. Bertrand Meheut will carry out this mission in addition to his current duties.

The Supervisory Board confirmed that the group’s Management Board is composed of Jean-François Dubos, Chairman, and Philippe Capron, Chief Financial Officer.

The Supervisory Board also confirmed Stéphane Roussel in his position of Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of SFR.

Frédéric Crépin, Senior Vice President, Head of the Legal Department, is appointed Secretary of Vivendi’s Supervisory and Management Boards. Mathieu Peyceré, Vice President, Human Resources, is appointed Executive Vice President, Human Resources. Both will report to the Chairman of the Management Board.
