BERNE, Swtizerland -- Swisscom is bundling its expertise in modern, software-based communications solutions by combining its two subsidiaries Webcall GmbH and Axept AG, which employ a total of 120 people. The move will have no impact on jobs. The new Managing Director will be Daniel Staehelin.

By combining Axept and Webcall, Swisscom is bundling the expertise of both companies and strengthening its market position in the engineering and operation of software-based Unified Communications & Collaboration solutions. Axept AG became a Swisscom subsidiary one year ago. Together with Webcall GmbH, which has been part of Swisscom since 2008, it has been possible to significantly expand the offering of managed services, in particular in the area of Managed Communications & Collaboration. Combining the two companies will further support this development while enabling existing market activities to be expanded and advanced even further.
