Police Raid Google Offices

6:05 AM -- Here's a tale that mobile operators and other Web services companies should pay heed to: Police in South Korea have raided Google (Nasdaq: GOOG) offices in Seoul because it's believed the company's AdMob subsidiary may have collected individuals' location data without consent, reports Reuters.

As the article points out, having every angle covered in terms of local regulations is absolutely critical if customer information is going to be collected and stored, and it appears that AdMob may not have gained the consent it needed from the Korean Communication Commission before going about its data collection business.
