OTTAWA -- Mitel (Nasdaq:MITL), a leading provider of Unified Communications and Collaboration (UCC) software solutions, and Hub Telecom, a subsidiary of Aeroports de Paris specializing in telecommunications services, today announced the launch of an innovative, cloud-based service based on the Mitel Communications Director solution and VMware(R) virtualization solutions. Hub Telecom's cloud-based offering, being delivered at Paris' Charles-de-Gaulle and Orly airports, gives its customers an in-office collaboration experience anywhere they have an Internet connection, dramatically increasing their productivity regardless of where they may be working or what mobile device they may be using.

"Our new offering with Hub Telecom clearly illustrates how UCC is moving from a hardware-based infrastructure model to being managed as just another virtual machine, enabling IT to consolidate its resources while simultaneously delivering advanced services to its customers," said Lionel Hovsepian, Mitel's vice president of Sales for South EMEA. "Mitel's virtualized solutions are well-positioned to reap the benefits of this major shift in the industry."
