DALLAS -- MASERGY today announced that telecom- industry veteran Royce Holland has been selected as chairman of the board. MASERGY also has selected Gail Schoettler to join the Board, and hired Robert Bodnar as CFO to oversee the financial operations of the company.

MASERGY is a privately held, global network services provider serving customers on six continents. Founded in 2000, the company has introduced award-winning network services for enterprises, resulting in strong, consistent revenue growth. The company's growth is fueled by the migration of business networks to advanced IP technologies.

Royce Holland, Chairman of the Board Telecom veteran Holland has served on MASERGY's Board of Directors for over a year. He has been elevated to chairman to assist the Board and senior management as the company prepares for the next stage of growth. Previously, Holland was co-founder, chairman and CEO of Allegiance Telecom, a competitive local exchange carrier (CLEC). He also served as president and co-founder of MFS Communications, one of the first competitive local carriers with operations in 52 metropolitan areas in North America, Europe and Asia. Holland was appointed by former President George H. W. Bush to the National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee, and by Governor George W. Bush to the Texas e-Government Task Force. Holland is a former chairman of ALTS, the industry association for facilities- based CLECs, and was recently named Chief Executive Officer of McLeodUSA, one of the largest CLECs in America.
