Acquisition of IT services firm adds 400 to Ericsson payroll

STOCKHOLM -- Ericsson (NASDAQ:ERIC), the world leader in communication technologies and services, today announces the completion of its acquisition of Devoteam Telecom & Media in France. Today's closing follows the announcement on January 21, 2013.Magnus Mandersson, Executive Vice President and Head of Business Unit Global Services, Ericsson, says: "Ericsson is strengthening its position in the consulting and systems integration (CSI) market in France with this acquisition. The shift toward increased consumer usage of advanced services is driving change as we move towards the networked society. CSI is of fundamental importance to transform operators’ businesses and improve end-customer experience."Franck Bouétard, head of Ericsson in France says: "With the completion of this acquisition, we are now in a position to deliver in France end to end IT solutions and services to operators and media for their strategic assets that are networks, OSS, BSS and TV".Ericsson welcomes 400 skilled IT-services employees who will be integrated into Ericsson in France over the coming months and will work under the Ericsson brand as of today.
