TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. -- Appia Communications, a leading managed communication and network services provider, today announced the addition of nationwide Multi Protocol Label Switching, or MPLS, services.

MPLS helps multi-site companies and organizations manage their branch-to-branch and remote connections. MPLS enables them to prioritize such time-sensitive applications as voice over IP and video, so that they take precedence over traffic like email and internet browsing, all across a single connection. The addition of MPLS also expands Appia's network centers to include Atlanta, Dallas, St. Louis, San Francisco, Seattle, and Washington, DC, in addition to existing centers in Chicago, Detroit, Indianapolis, and Los Angeles.

"Appia's MPLS product is a perfect complement to its current suite of managed services," says Appia partner Andrew Pryfogle, president of Terrapin Solutions, LLC. "This is a very powerful technology that will save our customers money. The addition of MPLS proves that Appia is committed to being a single source for business-class solutions for our customers."
