China Telecom subsidiary opens 6,500 sq ft facility in LA's business district

HERNDON, Va. -- China Telecom Americas (CTA), the wholly-owned North American-based subsidiary of China Telecom Corp. Ltd. (NYSE: CHA) announced the grand opening of a new full-service Data Center in Los Angeles. The 6,500 square-foot facility is located at 600 W. 7th Street, Los Angeles, California.

China Telecom Americas is a global telecommunication and information services provider of integrated total solution of data, IP and voice wholesale services to multinational enterprise companies, organizations and international carriers requiring China domestic services and international access to China and to the Asia Pacific region.

China is reportedly one of the largest markets for future growth of many of California's international businesses. According to the New York Times, more than 500 Chinese companies now have offices or operations in California and more are coming. 53 Chinese companies are listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
