Sentito Networks appoints veteran Robert Darabant as senior sales VP

SAN JOSE, Calif. and ACTON, Mass. -- sentitO Networks, a leading provider of open and distributed VoIP switching equipment and service delivery solutions for global telecommunications service providers, today named Robert Darabant as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales. The appointment reinforces the worldwide demand for sentitO’s groundbreaking Open Network Xchange (ONX) VoIP switching and service delivery solution.

Based in Acton, MA, Darabant is responsible for growing sentitO’s carrier customer base by initiating, driving, and sustaining revenue from global sales engagements and partner operations. Darabant will oversee a global sales team with particular focus on North America, Russia and Eastern Europe, Asia-Pacific and Central and South America.

Darabant brings more than 20 years of sales success and in-depth experience in network equipment and management providers, as well as wireline and wireless networking businesses. Recently, Darabant was Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Support at Bluesocket, Inc. and prior to that, Vice President of North America Sales and Global Strategic Alliances at NetScreen Technologies, which was acquired by Juniper Networks. Earlier in his career, Darabant held a variety of senior leadership roles at Rockwell International, Sprint Communications, and Shiva Corporation – where he managed significant growth in sales from $0 to upwards of $65MM in less than 3 years. Darabant holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing Management from Slippery Rock University.
