TeraXion introduce new dispersion compensation products at OFC/NFOEC
March 22, 2007
QUEBEC -- TeraXion Inc., a technology leader in performance-defining OEM products used for the generation and conditioning of light signals in mission-critical applications in the Telecom, Defense & Aerospace and Industrial markets, will display a series of innovative new dispersion products at the 2007 Optical Fiber Conference, OFC/NFOEC in the Anaheim, California Convention Center on March 27-29.
With two additions in its fixed dispersion product portfolio and a third one enhancing the tunable product suite, TeraXion expands the set of solutions of its well-established ClearSpectrum™ product line.
ClearSpectrum™ DCMX-400 km. Extends the level of compensation from 200 km up to 400 km with insertion loss below 5 dB. This new series complements TeraXion’s portfolio of DCMX which compensates from 20 km up to 200 km with a maximum insertion loss of 3 dB.
ClearSpectrum™ DCMX-40G Ready. These new modules are designed with a sufficient bandwidth to allow their use for in-line applications in 40G ready networks. The standard 20 to 100 km modules are available with insertion loss below 3 dB.
ClearSpectrum™ TDCM-low PMD. This new option on the TDCM TuneX guarantees a PMD less than 0.3 ps over the tuning range for TDCMs designed for the 10 Gb/s or the 40 Gb/s market. Through innovative engineering, TeraXion significantly reduced this critical parameter for 40G systems.
