Based on unparalleled integration of advanced and required features, the complete Broadcom(R) high definition DVD solution enables Samsung to develop a high-quality, cost-effective platform that will help to drive faster consumer adoption of the high definition DVD Blu-ray standard.
Announced today at 2007 International CES, Samsung Electronics unveiled its second generation high definition Blu-ray DVD player for the home entertainment industry. With this announcement, Broadcom expects that the BD-P1200 player will help position Samsung to stay a step ahead of the cutting-edge optical media industry, after Samsung introduced its first Blu-ray Disc (BD) player (BD-P1000) to the U.S. market in June 2006.
