LAS VEGAS -- Ultra Wideband (UWB) semiconductor company, Pulse-LINK, Inc., will demonstrate whole-home High Definition entertainment networking at The Cable Show, May 7-9, in booth #1337 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center.

Pulse-LINK is the first semiconductor company to deliver a solution capable of true room-to-room networking of interactive High Definition content from a hybrid wired/wireless chipset. Devices enabled with Pulse-LINK's CWave(TM) UWB chipset allow HD content located anywhere in the home to be shared across the existing coax backbone with wireless connectivity in each room for Set-Top Boxes, HDTVs, DVRs, DVD players, Gaming Devices, Media Center PCs, and other multimedia equipment. CWave enables High Definition content to be streamed throughout the home with IPTV functionality and provides End-to-End Quality of Service, while still preserving content protection mechanisms. Providing access to HD content throughout the home increases the consumption of premium content, driving up revenues for both content and service providers. Pulse-LINK's CWave(TM) chipset enables this high bandwidth multimedia home networking capability without adding new wires.

Pulse-LINK will showcase its award-winning technology by demonstrating multi-room connectivity featuring high-quality 1080p HD content streamed across hundreds of feet of standard RG59 coax to replicate a typical home set-up. Demonstrations include IPTV functionality with menu navigation and interactive control capabilities. In addition, Pulse-LINK will showcase unmatched wireless performance by streaming 1080p content with menu navigation and "Trick Play" (pause, fast forward, fast rewind) functionality. Connected devices include HDTVs, Blu-ray Players, DVRs, Media Center PCs and Multimedia Storage devices using both 1394 and Ethernet protocols simultaneously over coax and wireless networks.

"Consumers want to enjoy their High Definition entertainment when and where they want it throughout the home. Content and service providers realize the value in enhancing the HD experience for consumers but the technology to enable flawless delivery of digital content from room-to-room has not been available until now," states Dan Friedman, Pulse-LINK VP Marketing. "This is a truly revolutionary time for the digital home. The technology is here and we are excited to be in the forefront of helping to make whole-home quality entertainment a way of living."
