Marvell supports new 'Wi-Fi Direct' standard across entire line of 802.11 WLAN devices

SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Marvell (Nasdaq: MRVL), a leader in storage, communications, and consumer silicon solutions, today announced support for "Wi-Fi Direct", a new Wi-Fi Alliance standard which simplifies secure peer-to-peer communication between 802.11 enabled devices. In supporting the Wi-Fi Direct specification, Marvell strengthens its leadership role in pioneering Wi-Fi adoption across cell phones, portable gaming devices, personal media players and other low power mobile devices.
