OSLO, Norway and STOCKHOLM -- Ignis (OSE:IGNIS), aninternational provider of optical components, today announced thatthey have entered into a defintive agreement with a major fiber optictransmission equipment manufacturer, for delivery of tunable laserchips over a period of 5 years. The first order is expected to beplaced soon.
This is the first agreement Ignis has signed which is including pureplay chip supply to a third party manufacturer of tunable lasersubsystems. This is part of Ignis strategy to take the position as aleading international manufacturer of tunable laser and transmitterchips.
The fact that Ignis has been chosen as a key supplyer of chips fortheir tunable laser modules, is a great recognition of the Ignistunable laser technology.
