KIRKE SAABY, Denmark -- As of April 1st 2007 DKT A/S has taken over DANLAB Electronics A/S. The acquisition was made to strengthen DKT’s position within the market for broadband equipment and will contribute to DKT’s ambitious growth strategy primarily on the export markets.

"The acquisition plays an important part in our desire to expand on the export markets. The new constellation between DKT and DANLAB means that we will be able to strengthen our position on the Scandinavian and European markets for coaxial networks, FTTX networks, and HFC installations (Hybrid Fibre Coax). Today DKT exports to various markets in Europe, and in combination with DANLAB’s distributors on the export markets of Western and Eastern Europe we now find ourselves in a very strong position when it comes to competition, since we can now offer operators a more comprehensive portfolio of unique products", says Christian Emborg, managing director and CEO of DKT A/S.

"We expect that DANLAB will be able to contribute with a top line growth of about 20% and a bottom line growth of about 40%, since DANLAB’s concept can be integrated into DKT’s business without any significant increase in costs".
