CLEARWATER, Fla. -- Digital Lightwave(R), Inc. and PE.fiberoptics Ltd, leading providers of technology and test instruments for fiber-optic networks, today announced a strategic sales and marketing partnership. Digital Lightwave will sell and distribute PE.fiberoptics' range of portable chromatic dispersion and PMD analyzers exclusively in the United States and on a non-exclusive basis in certain other territories.

PE.fiberoptics products are used to characterize optical fiber in R&D, manufacturing and field applications. Laboratory and portable models are available for testing chromatic dispersion, PMD, spectral attenuation and other parameters that can impact the transport of higher data rates and multiple wavelengths. The ONA 600, Chromos 11, and Nexus products enable Digital Lightwave to offer a complete fiber-optic testing solution. Data rates of 10 Gbps and 40 Gbps and DWDM have greatly increased the need for fiber characterization test equipment.

The PE.fiberoptics equipment will be sold through Digital Lightwave's direct sales personnel and distribution channels.
