TAIPEI -- C-motech, a leading provider of 3G and 4G Modems, and Beceem, a leading provider of 4G chips, today announced the launch of C-motech’s new 4G-WiMAX/3G-EVDO dual-mode dongle development, based on Beceem’s BCSM350 chip. The new dual-mode dongle will be the third generation of C-motech dual-mode products based on Beceem’s 4G-WiMAX semiconductor solutions. The BCSM350 offers session continuity and connection handover, which is typically viewed as the second most important user feature behind high performance. The BCSM350 combines its “Twin Turbo” uplink capability with seamless session continuity for the 4G-to-3G handover, which enables C-motech to deliver a highly advanced multi-mode modem solution.

“C-motech has developed and launched the original 4G-WiMAX/3G-EVDO dual-mode product, and -- in working with C-motech -- we have built key know how when it comes to improving the user experience during handoff between the 4G and 3G networks. Our new BCMS350 chip delivers a seamless hand-over solution,” said Dave Carroll, vice president of sales for Beceem Communications. “It also includes our Twin Turbo uplink to give C-motech’s new dual-mode modems an extremely high performance uplink.”

TAIPEI -- EpiValley, a leading provider of Telecommunications Modems, and Beceem, a leading provider of 4G chips, today announced the development of EpiValley’s new 4G-WiMAX/WiFi Mobile Router product, based on Beceem’s BCSM350 chip. The new mobile router takes advantage of Beceem’s integrated coexistence front-end solution, which is combined with the unique “Twin Turbo” uplink of the BCSM350. Taken together, the BCSM350 will enable EpiValley’s new mobile router to deliver peak-performance 4G-WiMAX solution paired with a full-range WiFi solution.

“We have worked on perfecting our 4G-WiMAX/WiFi co-existence solution for over a year now, and being able to deliver an integrated coexistence front-end solution with our new BCMS350 chip that will not interfere with our innovative Twin-Turbo enables Epivalley to build a top-of-the-line Mobile Router that is not only performance oriented but also based on a low-cost platform,” said Lars Johnsson, vice president of marketing and business development for Beceem Communications.
