SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- Juniper Networks (NYSE: JNPR) today announced its SRX Series Services Gateways have been selected and certified by Verizon Business as part of their global Managed WAN Services portfolio for enterprise customers. The new Managed WAN Services offering is the latest from Verizon Business, which also delivers Managed Security Services with the SRX Series. Verizon Business can now offer their customers the SRX Series as part of both their Managed Security and Managed WAN services.

Both managed services solutions deliver high performance, scalability and operational efficiencies characteristic of the SRX Series, a highly configurable, multi-service business gateway with integrated routing, firewall, VPN, switching and unified threat management.

Video traffic, security threats, new applications and services, and connected socialization are straining existing networks. Enterprises are increasingly looking to carriers such as Verizon Business to provide secure, enterprise-grade managed service solutions to centralize network architectures, drive efficiencies and control capital and operating expenditures. The Verizon Business Managed WAN Services with SRX is the ideal solution for branch office mission critical applications and will be delivering converged switching, routing, security, wireless and voice over IP services on a single device.

"With the impressive growth of the managed service market, carriers are looking for products and services to differentiate and support increased consumption, which is being driven by mobility and the demand for applications by business professionals," said Dr. Ray Mota, principal at ACG Research. "The new Managed WAN Service with the SRX Series will not only provide differentiation, but also allow Verizon to position itself and move ahead of the competition to meet this demand."
