Empathty In The Workplace? The scenario is probably more real than imagined in many offices (and homes). It's a case of not listening to what the other is saying. We can all sympathize fairly easily, recognizing distress in other since we too have experienced the same, but moving to empathetic feeling for the other is not so easy. And even more difficult is moving through to compassion where we not not recognize the distrees, feel the emotion in the other, but now move forwart to try to remove the distress. That take listening and motivation to move away from our own emotional reactions to stress in others.
