SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- Juniper Networks (NYSE:JNPR - News) today announced that it has joined the RSA Secured Partner Program to certify interoperability between the Juniper Networks vGW Virtual Gateway and the RSA enVision from RSA platform. This certification signifies that a technical partnership has been established to give joint customers improved compliance and management functions within both physical and virtual security environments.

The RSA enVision platform is designed to give organizations a single, integrated log management solution for Security Information and Event Management to simplify compliance, enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of security operations and risk mitigation, and optimize IT and network operations. The RSA enVision platform provides automated collection, analysis, alerting, auditing, reporting and storage of IT log data.

"Effective security and event management (SIEM) requires complete visibility into all traffic flows including those within virtualized environments and clouds," said Douglas Murray, senior vice president and general manager, Security Business Unit at Juniper Networks. "Participating in the RSA Secured® Partner Program lets us bring a complete and actionable compliance picture to our joint customers for the Juniper vGW Virtual Gateway and the RSA enVision solutions."

The Juniper Networks vGW Virtual Gateway, based on technology acquired from Altor Networks, provides a consistent, virtualization-aware solution for private and hybrid cloud deployments. The product's differentiated approach enables comprehensive security and assurance that multiple virtual machines (VM)s within a single virtualized environment remain secure and isolated. Additionally, vGW security-automation allows increased corporate and regulatory compliance oversight by regulating the creation and movement of VMs within private and hybrid environments.

"We are pleased to welcome Juniper to the RSA Secured Partner Program. Our collaboration is in direct response to growing enterprise concerns about moving sensitive workloads to virtualized environments," said Ted Kamionek, vice president, corporate development at RSA. "Our interoperability will help assure customers moving critical business applications to the cloud high-performance and scalable security management."
