Furthermore, FITELnet-F8000 offers advanced and flexible features for the communication carrier including IPv6 and virtual-router functions. Furukawa selected Cavium Networks NITROX II security processor for its fastest performance in the security processor market. Additionally, it was very easy to integrate the NITROX II security processor into Furukawa's architecture to enable their aggressive time-to-market needs. This allowed Furukawa to deliver on the stringent requirements of Japanese service provider customers.

NITROX II security processors are available in production quantities and are being used by OEMs in a wide range of networking equipment including VPN gateways, Edge Routers, Servers, Broadband aggregation systems and Storage HBAs.
