MILPITAS, Calif. -- Transparent Networks, Inc., developer of highly integrated photonic telecommunications subsystems, announced today the appointment of Harvey R. Scull as President and CEO. Mr. Scull will also serve on the Company's Board of Directors. Dr. Janusz Bryzek, company founder, who served as the company's President and CEO since operations began on August 14, 2000 assumed the position of Executive Vice President and CTO, as well as Member of the Board of Directors. With more than 30 years of experience in telecommunications, Mr. Scull is recognized as one of the telecom industry's leaders. After early telecommunications indoctrination at AT&T Bell Labs and Northern Telecom, he spent the last twenty-two years at Tellabs (www.tellabs.com), where he held a number of executive positions including Senior Vice President, Global Strategy and Business Development. He started six Tellabs businesses in five different high technology areas including data communications, optical networking, ATM and VOIP. In his recent position as Senior Vice President and General Manager, Networking Technologies Group, Mr. Scull held complete divisional responsibility for a 5 site multi-national business unit covering four different product lines.
