SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- SBG Labs, Inc. has acquired all DigiLens, Inc. patents and trademarks through an open bid foreclosure sale held by a syndicate of DigiLens' secured lenders. DigiLens, Inc., a developer of optical components based on Electrically Switchable Bragg Gratings, had ceased operations as a result of a catastrophic downturn in the optical telecommunications market. SBG Labs, Inc. now plans to offer display products and services under the DigiLens™ trademark.

“We are delighted to have been declared the winner in this open auction,” said SBG Labs President and CEO Jonathan Waldern. “We will now leverage the DigiLens™ brand and patents in the consumer and automotive display markets. On behalf of the SBG management team, many of whom worked at DigiLens, Inc., I would especially like to thank our customers and partners without whose support and encouragement none of this would have been possible.”

SBG Labs, Inc. recently commenced sampling its first DigiLens™Holodisplay product for digital camera viewfinders and is developing other Application Specific Optical Elements (ASOE's) for international display customers. The DigiLens™ trademark is widely recognized in the Far East where the brand and technology have received extensive commercial acceptance.
