Knudson Jumps to WildBlue

WildBlue Communications announced that Ed Knudson has joined the company as its new vice president of sales and marketing

DENVER -- WildBlue Communications, Inc. today announced that Ed Knudson has joined the company as its new Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

Mr. Knudson has over twenty years of experience in marketing, content strategy, sales and licensing for a range of telecommunications and new media firms. He joins WildBlue from OpenTV, where he served as Senior Vice President of their Advanced Advertising Unit, handling product strategy and development, customer support and market development.

Prior to OpenTV, Mr. Knudson served as Executive Vice President and Co-Founder of Intellocity, a professional services firm focused on the design, development, and integration of digital television platforms, infrastructure, and content. He has also held executive positions at AT&T Broadband and TV Guide Networks, and was Co-Founder and Vice President for MindWorks Corporation, a developer of document management software. He spent the first 10 years of his career with Hewlett-Packard in various product management and marketing positions at HP’s desktop scanner division. Mr. Knudson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from the University of Northern Colorado and an MBA from the University of Denver.
