PLANO, Texas -- Santera Systems, a leading provider of now- and next-generation switching equipment for the global communications market, today announced that Connect Communications, LLC, a North Carolina-based service provider is using carrier-class switch SanteraOne to handle its PRI Offload data traffic and will later migrate to TDM Class 5 services. SanteraOne is the only platform available today that has proven its ability to cost effectively support simple applications like PRI Offload as well as advanced services such as Class 5 traffic. "Santera was the only network infrastructure provider that could carry our traffic now, and evolve as our network grows with TDM Class 5 service and regulatory requirements, such as integrated CALEA and E911," said John Weiner, President for Connect Communications, LLC. "As a rapidly growing service provider with increasing network demands, finding a solution that will maximize our network spending and provide our customers the redundancy and safeguards of a carrier network is crucial. The decision to move forward with Santera was easy as they've clearly proven their ability to meet providers' needs with real solutions and support." SanteraOne is a now- and next-generation switching solution that allows carriers to offer both voice and data services at affordable prices to subscribers. SanteraOne costs between a third and half of comparable legacy switches, and carriers can realize up to a 70-percent reduction in operational costs. Santera Systems Inc.
