Sanef Telecoms will offer Ethernet services based on Optical Ethernet and MPLS solutions from Nortel

PARIS -- Sanef Telecoms, an alternative operator in the North-East of France offering broadband services to companies and regional authorities, will provide next generation Ethernet services based on Optical Ethernet and multi-protocol label switching (MPLS) solutions from Nortel Networks(NYSE:NT)(TSX:NT) to improve network performance and reduce costs for enterprise customers throughout the region.

By combining Optical Ethernet and IP/MPLS solutions from Nortel Networks, Sanef Telecoms' Ethernet Virtual Private Network (VPN) services will allow enterprises to reduce network complexity by converging voice, data and video onto a single packet-based network.Packet technologies unify multiple overlay networks into one high-speed network, simplifying network operations and providing a foundation for delivery of multimedia services.
