Xebeo Enhances MPLS Workbench

SOUTH PLAINFIELD, N.J. -- Xebeo Communications, Inc., a leading developer of Metro Optical Packet Switches, today announced enhancements to the MPLS WorkBench that include Customer Centric QueuingC and industry leading MPLS traffic engineering and path restoration. The MPLS WorkBench is a PC based MPLS Switch for evaluating MPLS protocols and networking in a laboratory environment and is used by Xebeo customers to model complex network configurations. "The enhancements to MPLS WorkBench allow our customers to evaluate the capability for MPLS networks to provide both the QoS and SLAs of ATM and the fault restoration of SONET." The availability of such a capability on a 1 Rack Unit PC allows the evaluation of how MPLS performs in large networks under normal, heavily loaded and degraded scenarios at minimal cost.
