DOVADO Adds TD-LTE to Routers

Swedish mobile broadband router supplier eyes opportunities in the TD-LTE space

DUBAI -- DOVADO, the supplier of mobile broadband routers, today announced that it has now added TD-LTE support to its range of devices. The company has already added support for modems from Huawei and ZTE and plans to further invest in the TD-LTE space, adding support for additional modem models in the coming months. DOVADO is currently readying launches with various TD-LTE operators, employing bands 38 (2570-2620MHz) and 40 (2300-2400MHz), in Europe, Middle East and India.

Following the success of large scale TD-LTE trials throughout China, operators around the world are showing an increasing interest in the technology as it offers numerous benefits including: decreased hardware costs, no requirement for paired spectrum and the ability to dynamically change the uplink and downlink capacity ratio to match demand. TD-LTE networks have now been deployed worldwide in China, India, Sweden, Saudi Arabia, US, Poland, Japan and Brazil.
