Rosen Resigns From Tellabs

Tellabs Inc.'s (Nasdaq: TLAB; Frankfurt: BTLA) executive vice president of global operations, Jeff Rosen, has resigned his post, Light Reading has learned. His reason for stepping down is not clear at the time of this writing and Tellabs officials were unavailable for comment.

Rosen was one of the key figures in Advanced Fibre Communications, Inc.'s acquisition and integration of Marconi's North American Access Group. Following that acquisition, Rosen was the general manager of the combined company's fiber-to-the-curb group (see Access Acquisition Boosts AFC).

Before AFC, Rosen served as a director at Solectron Corp. (NYSE: SLR). Prior to that he was a senior associate in operations management at global strategy and technology consulting firm Booz Allen Hamilton.

Rosen's direct reports -- John Brots and Jean Holley -- appear to have been promoted upon his departure. Holley is still the CIO, but has gone from a VP to an executive VP. Brots, a seven-year Tellabs veteran, takes on Rosen's title of executive VP of global operations.

With Rosen gone, the only former AFC executive remaining in Tellabs's senior leadership group is Victoria L. Perrault, the executive VP of human resources.

When was Rosen in ADC? Wasn't it AFC?
