MELBOURNE, Fla. -- Diametriq, an innovator in Diameter signaling control technologies, and Adax, an industry leader in high-performance packet-processing, security and network infrastructure, today announced that they will be jointly demonstrating Diametriq’s Diameter Routing Engine™ (DRE) on the Adax PacketAMC ATCA subsystem processor card at CTIA Wireless 2012 in New Orleans from May 8 through May 10 in booth 2725.

In February at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Adax presented a pre-integrated “Network in a Box” for Long Term Evolution (LTE) Evolved Packet Core (EPC) applications. Diametriq’s DRE complements that package by offering Diameter signaling control functionality. Diametriq will be demonstrating the 3GPP Diameter Routing Agent (DRA) function which performs load balancing between the Policy Control Enforcement Function (PCEF) and the Online Charging System (OCS). The demonstration tracks a data session for pre-paid subscribers showing how the users’ accounts are monitored and debited in real time.

This is just one of several Diameter signaling control solutions included in the Diametriq DRE portfolio. In addition to the DRA, the product includes a Diameter Edge Agent (DEA), a Subscription Locator Function (SLF) and a Diameter Interworking Function (IWF). Diametriq’s DRE , the company’s flagship product, provides load balancing, roaming and interworking that can be customized to an operator’s specific requirements. The DRE is a suite of Diameter signaling controller applications hosted on the Diametriq Diameter platform which can be easily extended to other applications such as roamer steering or analytics. Key features include the detection and management of congestion, advanced security features, and dynamic scalability where server instances can be added without interruption in service.
